Your role at Baxter:

As a member of the Weld and Fabrication team, you will lead robot automation across the welding and fabrication manufacturing areas with a specific focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. In this position you will play a critical role in keeping the Weld and Fabrication teams current on the latest in automation technology. As a subject matter expert, you will often be relied on to mentor the team and provide valuable insights that help the plant stay ahead of the curve with the latest automated manufacturing technology.

What you’ll be doing:

Manage integration activities including designing and setting up robots to interact with press or weld fixtures. Ensure the safety of our operators and programmers when robots are integrated into their processes. Provide a safe work environment.
Develop and maintain cost effective automated manufacturing processes. Program multiple robotic arm cells with rotating fixtures.
Manage the implementation of process changes, including programming for all the automated weld cells, due to engineering changes and new product instructions.
Technical advisor for the robot programmer team.
Proficient at understanding weld defects and discontinuities, per American Welding Society standards, to ensure Weld quality.
Troubleshoot and remedy weld defects, wire feeders, weld power sources, welding torches, etc.
Develop best practices for robot programming standards.
Integrate fabrication machinery and robotics.
Validate robotic processes and products.

What you’ll bring:

HS Diploma or GED.
Technical certification in Robotic Programming or minimum of 2 years equivalent experience. Yaskawa training certificate strongly preferred.
Advance robotic programming skill level.
Experience with palletizing strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of weld processes.
Integration experience.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $41,000 – $120,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
