The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association was founded in 1933 and is headquartered in beautiful Friendship, IN. The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association exists to promote, support, nurture, and preserve NMLRA’s and our Nation’s rich historical heritage in the sport of muzzle loading through recreational, educational, historical, and cultural venues such as match competition, hunting, gun making and safety, historical re-enactments, exhibits, and other related programs.
The NMLRA provides many opportunities to its members for shooting, along with educational opportunities as well. For the reasonable cost of membership, you will experience one of the most distinct benefits – the NMLRA attracts friendly, generous, and genuine people as members that make up a huge family and support system where people can help, compete with, and learn from one another.
The NMLRA also publishes one of the largest outdoor magazines, Muzzle Blasts. Muzzle Blasts is full color and is published monthly. We are also very happy to announce that we will be expanding shooting opportunities at our range in Friendship! The NMLRA is happy to serve Ripley County and its residents, along with working with local businesses. The Fall Championship Shoot will be September 14-22, 2019 – come on down to Friendship and see what the NMLRA has to offer!
