Please help welcome Walnut Street Variety Shop currently located at 33 N. Main Street in Batesville to the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce! They will be moving to their new, larger location in just a few weeks at 111 E George St in Batesville. Here is a little history on the Walnut Street Variety Shop:
In 2018, two retired friends decided to open a variety shop in Batesville, IN. What started out as a small toy and antique shop has turned into a wonderful true variety center, that has grown very nicely. Both gentleman had extensive backgrounds in retail, so the aspects of running a store was familiar to both of them. Karen Kestler (with Karie’s Attic), joined the gentleman near the beginning, and has been a vital part of the adventure since then. All three are very excited about the new move to E George Street in Batesville, as it will increase their space by over 100%. This will also allow them to have local artisans and vendors inside the center, which just adds to the customer interest and enjoyment.
I encourage you all to stop in and check out their selection of toys and other items they have to offer! It is such a neat and organized store!
