Your Role at Baxter
Works as part of a team performing standard Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Mechanical engineering work requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
What you'll do
Perform routine engineering assignments of related tasks which are typically a focused portion of larger projects. These tasks provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, techniques, theories, Corporate and division SOP's, policies and projects.
Document development work including writing specifications for manufacturing or scientific test results.
Solve routine design and engineering tasks with some assistance. Tackle problems with periodic monitoring.

Develop and maintain cost effective automated manufacturing processes. Program multiple robotic arm cells with rotating fixtures.
Manage the implementation of process changes, including programming for all the automated weld cells, due to engineering changes and new product instructions.
Technical advisor for the robot programmer team.
Proficient at understanding weld defects and discontinuities, per American Welding Society standards, to ensure Weld quality.
Troubleshoot and remedy weld defects, wire feeders, weld power sources, welding torches, etc.
Develop best practices for robot programming standards.
Integrate fabrication machinery and robotics.
Validate robotic processes and products.

HS Diploma or GED.

As part of an R&D project team, the Principal Engineer Systems/V&V provides technical contributions to the system design and Verification/Validation of a complex medical device from concept through commercialization and through the full life cycle of the product. A principal engineer focuses on understanding/defining the customer needs; creates product functional/performance requirements and architecture necessary to meet those needs; evaluates constraints and makes trade off decisions; creates system design requirements and contributes to the development of the module level design requirements; contributes to the product safety and security risk management activities including DFMEA’s; contributes to the identification of technical risks and mitigations, develops the verification and validation plans, protocols, scripts, execution, regression, and reports.
The principal engineer works in close collaboration with the Lead engineer, project manager, and other functional team members to ensure the project/product success. The principal engineer provides guidance to other engineers on technical issues, engages in design reviews and help resolves complex problems. This Principal engineer will be at the forefront of driving systems engineering methodology and V&V, best practices, and continuous improvement in R&D processes and projects. This position will include using model based design for systems engineering, Mathworks-Matlab, Simulink, System Composer, and DOORS/Polarion.

Your role at Baxter
The Senior Manager, Distribution & Fleet Operations is accountable for Strategy Development, Business Planning and Operational execution for the Batesville Distribution Center, this may include, but is not limited to, warehousing, distribution, transportation, inventory control, and vendor management. We are in need of a dynamic leader who will manage 6 direct reports overseeing Warehouse Operations, Fleet Management, Customs and Trade Compliance, Transportation Scheduling, Inventory Management. There are 35 warehouse personnel and a fleet consisting of 37 OTR drivers that indirectly report into this individual.
What you'll be doing
Direct Warehouse Operations ensuring optimized service at best cost to all customers (internal & external) as well as coordinating related freight aspects
Drive and support all Fulfillment activities for Warehouse Operations in accordance with the Strategic Plans, within the approved budgets, within the international regulations and current official legislations, to ensure that the needs of all customers are met in a timely manner, and in such a way as to make both investments and company objectives profitable
Develop and Manage the Warehouse Operations Budget – Extensive experience leading budgetary performance and profitability (P&L)
Implement and optimize WMS software systems
Set strategic direction in the development, implementation, and execution of key initiatives in the support of fulfillment and meeting business objectives. Provide leadership and direction to the operational team in line with Baxter leadership expectations that foster Top Quartile performance and build a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll bring
BS in Operational/Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar degree
5+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations as well as Transportation management experience
Strong communication skills (with Commercial, Customers, direct reports, peers, and leadership) and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base. Ability to communicate and present to multiple levels of the organization
Strong leadership skills including leading cross-functional projects with broad scope and impact to Baxter
Deep understanding of all aspects of Supply Chain including financial, operational, cost impacts, inventory turns and service levels
Thinks strategically, embraces change, challenges status quo, and makes recommendations for improvements
Strong, validated development skills for developing top talent
Analytical approach for solving complex cross functional problems

What you'll be doing
Find opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, weld processes, quality control standards, or product design, powder coating, materials and parts. Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness. Recommend design modifications to eliminate inefficiencies within the weld process.
Solve new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan. Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
Perform nonconforming material analysis and create NCM reports. Work with Quality Control on reducing the NCMRs.
Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate, weld, paint, plate parts or products and to achieve maximum efficiency and utilization.
Update and document job instructions, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Ensure safety procedures are followed, work areas are clean and maintained, and the department is following regulatory compliance requirements.
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; industrial or mechanical engineering preferred.
2+ years of job-related experience in manufacturing and weld engineering; FDA experience preferred. Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge of design techniques, weld tooling, and weld processes involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Ability to design and set up weld robot cells for maximum efficiency.
A strong mechanical and metallurgical background with a thorough knowledge of welding is preferred. (GMAW, GMAW-P, RSW, GTAW)
Experience in weld validations, weld processes and developing welding procedure specifications (WPS).
Proficient with Solid Edge or Solid Works or Auto-CAD programs.

Your Role at Baxter
As part of an R&D project team, the Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer owns the design of electrical systems, modules, circuit boards, and sub-assemblies, from conception to production. Incumbent will work as part of a team and ensure that the project progresses in the defined manner.
Our team works remotely Mondays and Fridays remotely and Tuesdays through Thursday onsite at the Batesville, IN location.
What you'll be doing
Willing to learn from expert engineers and give mentorship on technical issues, engage in design reviews, and help resolves sophisticated problems.
This position will give you the opportunity to design circuit boards that run motors, control touch screen displays, monitor patient weight, heart rate, and respiratory rate, control blowers for air mattresses and communicate with the hospital network through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
You will be involved in every part of the process, from working with Hospitals to understanding user needs, developing requirement, setting schedules, designing circuit boards, testing your designs, supporting circuit board manufacturing, supporting product assembly procedures and test systems, and supporting the initial deliveries to customers.
What You'll Bring
BS Electrical Engineering for accredited college/university or equivalent
20 year of engineering experience working of circuit board design
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and applicable Engineering Software
Experience in the medical device industry and FDA Regulations is preferred
Preferred Experience:

Experience with digital design and basic software development for testing hardware designs.
Experience with documenting designs and analysis including hardware requirements, hardware detailed design, DFMEA, Risk Analysis, and testing requirements.
Experience designing communication interfaces between circuit boards including, CAN, USB, SPI, I2C, LVDS, and display boards.
Experience interfacing both analog and digital sensors to embedded processors including air pressure, temperature, load cells, current measurement, and others.
Experience designing DC to DC switching power supplies.
Experience with designing for radiated emissions, ESD, cost, reliability, and DFM
